Good Naked (Brooklyn NY) is pleased to present its third exhibition Home Alone, curated by Jaqueline Cedar and Bill Santen, opening December 20 from 6-9pm and running through January 26, 2020.

The objects in this exhibition speak to architecture and body.  They conjure nostalgia and distance in their sensitivity to the psychological hauntings of place.

Tom Andersen’s objects recall and project, building atmospheres unsettling in their quiet familiarity.  His work translates sourced imagery with acute specificity and sets frames to house these passages.

Manuela Gonzalez’s painted collages take up domestic and gestural moves.  They purport utilitarian function and still revel in their own fixed states.  Their fibers tempt touch while their paint/plastics stiffen, hold, and push us back.

Marc Librizzi’s works nest bodies within bodies and stack rooms within rooms.  His structures fold and expand as we float/slither in and around architectural and cerebral space, suspended by mystery and play.

Bill Santen’s expanded music box begs contact and teases comfort.  Flocking softens its armature as drawers open and shut, breaking verses and instruments into re-combinable parts.

Corydon Cowansage’s layered forms purport and flatten depth.  Color, scale, and shadow lead us astray as we attempt to regain footing in the face of facades that shift and slide.

Vincent Stracquadanio’s spaces collapse and extend via geometry and dance.  Silhouetted figures and latticed patterns line corridors and form structures for rhythm and magic.
