Good Naked (Brooklyn NY) is pleased to present its fifth exhibition Talk Soup, opening March 13 from 6-9pm and running through April 12, 2020.

The works in this exhibition lurk and play.  They haunt comic space filling time with tricks and tales.  Their subjects lure and hide, taking up odd corners and claiming uncanny territory.

Bill Adam’s characters transfix with scaffolded structures and disturb stillness in frenzied flight.  His worlds are densely built and lightly traversed.

Jonathan DeDecker’s figures spook, slide, and hover with comic edge.  They cut and flip and shift and land.

Carl Durkow’s tactile structures ooze body and sing pleasure.  They hint at forms familiar and hold utility with grace.

Hyun Jung Jun’s candles creep, torque, and bubble.  Her forms conjure ritual, spirit, sensation, and longing.

Griffin Mactavish’s ceramics draw on body as language for time and story.  His sculptures build space for pause and humor, darkness and surprise.

Rachel Jackson’s drawings set a cast of characters vulnerable and bemused.  Pulled, twisted, and repurposed with regularity, they attempt adjustments and accept their lot.

James English Leary’s bodies take space with furtive steps.  They land and form in parts truncated and solid.  They calibrate with breath held, fixing and breaking illusion via color and collage.

The exhibition is on view by appointment only.  For more information (including exact location) and images, please contact info@goodnakedgallery.com.
