Good Naked (Los Angeles CA) is pleased to present WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS, a group exhibition opening Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 4-6pm.

The artworks in this exhibition are made with care and intuition. Each artist is deliberate in their culling of feeling and material as they build structure and rhythm within their work. The exhibition’s title speaks to the restless nature of making in relation to active minds and environments.

WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS  will be on view by appointment August 23 - September 7, 2025.

Ewelina Bochenska graduated in 2017 with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Studio School and received her BA in 2011 from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Her work has been exhibited in the UK, Poland and the United States, at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolors in London, England, Fortnight Institute and the National Academy Museum in New York City.

Marisa Gonzalez is a dedicated healer and community volunteer who offers somatic therapy and yoga to marginalized populations in Skid Row. Her practice is grounded in care, presence, and a deep commitment to collective well-being. Marisa draws inspiration from the resilience of the communities she serves, bringing a calm, restorative energy to every space she enters, reflective in her art form.

Lorraine Morland is a mother, grandmother, creator, singer, dancer, drummer, and respected community leader. She is a is a soulful storyteller, visual artist, and spiritual writer whose work is rooted in truth, resilience, and beauty found in the everyday. Deeply rooted in Skid Row’s cultural life, she shares her wisdom and artistic gifts with women and families, often offering support to those most in need. A regular performer with Urban Voices and the Los Angeles Poverty Department (LAPD), Lorraine is a powerful presence in the neighborhood’s creative and communal landscape. Her art is deeply personal born from recovery, hope, and a sacred connection to the unseen. She believes in creating from the heart, where even brokenness can be transformed into color and purpose.

Caitlin Parker is a textile artist, natural dyer, gardener and naturalist. Since receiving her BA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London and her MFA in painting from Bard College, Parker has exhibited her work in galleries and museums across the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom, Germany Italy, and Korea. She has had solo presentations at Wave Hill, Bronx, NY; Michael Steinberg Fine Art, New York; and Rhodes and Mann Gallery, London. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, Field Projects Gallery, LABspace, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum. She grew up in Northern California and currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

Kenneth Ross is a lifelong student of art, known for creating large-scale works inspired by his surroundings. His practice reflects both personal vision and the collective spirit of his community. Kenneth regularly participates in projects with the Los Angeles Poverty Department and the People Concerned’s community arts program, contributing to the vibrant creative life of Skid Row.

Natosha “Truly Beats” Smith is a dynamic multidisciplinary artist, DJ, curator, writer, dancer, poet, and seamstress. A proud mother and dedicated community member, she has contributed to numerous art projects across Skid Row, using her creativity to inspire, uplift, and mobilize. Known for her vibrant presence and deep commitment to cultural expression, Natosha is a trusted motivator and beloved force within her community.

Michael Zadowicz was born in Ohio and received a BA at Ohio State University. He spent 3 decades sculpting and designing mannequins that appeared in more than 60 shows worldwide. On his pivot to painting, he constructs images of non-urban areas of the natural world sourced from deep memory and thought images using a sculptural approach.
